Clearstone Capital is a family office based in Atlantic Canada, specializing in private equity investments and co-investments across North America and across all industries.
Clearstone was founded by Dwight Fraser, the co-founder of FMI to acquire businesses whose owners are seeking to exit or sell a majority stake while remaining with the business to drive growth.

About FMI
Franchise Management Inc. (FMI) was founded in the early 1990s as a management company overseeing a small number of local businesses. Over time, it evolved into one of North America's largest franchise operators, with a portfolio that includes Pizza Hut, KFC, Taco Bell, Panera Bread and Burger King. Today, FMI boasts over 400 locations across Canada and the United States, employing more than 7,300 individuals.

Dwight Fraser, the co-founder of FMI, began his career in 1978 with Canadian retailer Zellers. After 12 years in retail, he pursued various entrepreneurial ventures, successfully developing and operating several Subway markets, an A&W, doughnut shops, a movie theatre, a Kwik Kopy franchise, and a championship Junior "A" hockey franchise. In 2004, Dwight partnered with Greg Walton, forming FMI with plans to expand beyond their initial single Pizza Hut restaurant.
FMI has received national recognition for operational excellence, including the Maple Leaf Award from YUM! Brands and the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2013. Dwight attributes his success to surrounding himself with great leaders who share his vision for excellence which has been instrumental in FMI's growth and success.

Fen’s Market was established in 2012 and is locally owned and operated by the office in Woodstock, NB. Dwight Operates Fen's along with his son Scott. It started with 1 fuel station in Waterville, NB and now operates 18 locations across New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.
